Zipline over the Čikola canyon

This zipline course runs three lines, 1.4 km in all, high over the Čikola river canyon inland from Šibenik, at up to 70 km/h. It is a private adventure park, not part of Krka National Park, and the easy way to add an adrenaline hour to a Krka day.

Zipline in the Čikola Canyon

About this experience

The Čikola is a river that cuts a deep canyon inland from Šibenik before it joins the Krka. Zipline Šibenik has strung three lines across it: 250 m, 500 m and 650 m, 1.4 km in all, starting at 120 m altitude and finishing at 30 m. Speeds reach up to 70 km/h, or you can brake and take in the view. You ride alone or in a pair, under the eye of the guides.

This is not a Krka National Park activity. The zipline is run separately, so you need no park ticket for it, and your Krka ticket does not cover it. It pairs well with a morning at the falls. The listing gives 1 hour, and guests say it took about 1 hour 30 minutes with the safety briefing. Equipment, the ride, insurance and the transfer back to the starting point after the last line are included. GoPro rental is €20 extra, and you bring your own memory card.

Families love it: one review describes a group of seven, aged 11 to 60. The listing sets limits for safety. It is not suitable for people with back or heart problems, wheelchair users, people with recent surgery or anyone over 136 kg (300 lbs), and it asks for closed-toe shoes. Groups go up to 20. With 4.9 stars from 19 reviews, it is one of the best-rated adventures near Šibenik. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

What guests say

★★★★★

We thought it was absolutely great. The whole family (7 people), from the youngest at 11 to Dad at 60. We had good instructions in advance on how to brake on the zip line and the commands the guides give. There are 3 ziplines where you have great views from the platforms and, of course, while flying at a lofty height.
